The first thing I thought was "they have that stuff in Jackson?" It is the little things like this that we always overlook. I like how the leaves are stuck behind the grate. This photo shows just how cool a photo contest like this can be. It forces us to look at things we see every day in more detail and with an artistic eye.

Hi Jana
Good eye for seeing what so many of us walk by without a second (or maybe even a first) look. This is one of my favorites of the competition. The only thing I can think of to improve it would be to crop out the dark area at the top third or so of the image. The dark area doesn't add anything to the image. Other than that, I really like the way that you composed the image so that the corners of the grate form strong diagonal lines in the image. Good shot !!
